Impressionism Art
I create the impressionism style with digital techniques, I call it digital impressionism. Traditionally, an impressionist will express with a particular type of brush stoke and an accurate depiction of light in its changing qualities. I’m breaking tradition, I switched to digital art about a year ago because I could no longer hold my paintbrush without pain. The button pushing required for digital artistry is much easier on my hands.
At first, I did consider it cheating to make digital art instead of painting my impressionism style art but now that I know how much knowledge it takes to design digitally. I have a healthy respect. Most of the art in this gallery took about 1500 clicks or edits to make, that’s nothing to sneeze at and could probably not be done by most.
I’ve learned so much over the past year and there’s still much more to learn.

I find that the work, once shared with my social network, getting the most positive attention, are those created with impressionism landscapes in mind. I use digital software like PicMonkey to create my impressionist style landscape art. I find only calm and peace when I spend time making these. Aside from the online photo editor PicMonkey, I like to use Corel and basic Adobe. For the most part, I use Corel for print sizing and Adobe for basic light and shadow edits. I use PicMonkey more than any other digital software.
